Processing and Heat Treatment


Q195 steel is highly formable through processes like cold rolling, hot rolling, and welding. To prevent defects like internal stress and cracks, processing temperature and deformation must be carefully controlled. Due to its limited hardenability, annealing and normalizing are preferred heat treatments. Annealing reduces internal stress, refines grain structure, and improves ductility. Normalizing enhances strength, hardness, and machinability.
