Definitions and Composition
SPCC (General Purpose Cold-Rolled Carbon Steel Sheet and Strip): Primarily composed of iron, carbon, and minor alloying elements, SPCC is produced through a cold-rolling process. It is equivalent to DC01 and ST12.
SPHC (Steel Plate Hot Commercial): Also known as HOT, SPHC is produced through a hot-rolling process. It primarily consists of iron and carbon and is equivalent to the national standard 08AL.
SECC (Electrolytic Galvanized Steel Sheet): Cold-rolled steel sheet coated with a thin layer of zinc through an electrolytic process. In addition to iron and carbon, it also contains zinc. Common thickness ranges from 0.4 to 3.2 mm.
SGCC (Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel Sheet): Hot-rolled or cold-rolled steel is cleaned, annealed, and then immersed in a molten zinc bath at approximately 460°C to form a zinc coating on the surface. This process results in excellent rust prevention, corrosion resistance, weatherability, and workability.
